Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom sees the residents of Mossy Bottom Farm looking forward to Halloween – until the clumsy Farmer trashes the Flock’s beloved pumpkin patch! When Shaun turns into mad scientist to help fix the problem, things rapidly spiral out of control… With The Farmer now missing and a wild beast roaming the woods of Mossingham, all the ingredients are in place for a monstrously fun family adventure. Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom is co-directed by the animation filmmakers Steve Cox (Shaun the Sheep: Adventures from Mossy Bottom & The Flight Before Christmas) & Matthew Walker (Shaun the Sheep: Adventures from Mossy Bottom, Lloyd of the Flies series). The screenplay is written by Mark Burton and Giles Pilbrow, based on characters by Nick Park. It’s produced by Richard Beek. Made by Aardman Animation in Bristol. (courtesy First Showing)
Life has been a LOT lately for all of us I think and it can be hard sometimes to think there’s anything light and bright left in the world.
But of course there is, and proof positive is anything that comes from the wonderful people at Aardman Animations who have gifted us with Wallace & Gromit, and more pertinently for this post, Shaun the Sheep who has a new rollicking, fun and madcap adventure coming out later this year.
The Beast of Mossy Bottom looks to tick all the boxes if the hugely entertaining trailer is anything to go by, and even if our spirits sag in the interim, we know that come September, all will be temporarily well again.
Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Soggy Bottom releases 17 September 2026 and in UK on 18 September.
