Marvel has been a whole lot of hit-and-miss lately but Ironheart looks like it will be a beguiling mix of funny, action-oriented and emotionally meaningful and honestly, what more could you want from a superhero series?
I’ve always been drawn to superhero narratives that can capture your heart but which don’t take themselves completely seriously and it’s heartening to see that Marvel are still in the business of making story that fit that bill.
After all, escapism is fun but you need to feel something to, right?
Ironheart premieres on Disney+ on 24 June.
