Ever wondered what tired zombie parents, spent from a long day wandering through empty apocalyptic landscapes scaring and eating the living, read to their undead offspring come bedtime?
(Dead or not, I am betting there’s a good chance that like children everywhere they would be a lively as hell, refusing to go to bed till the last possible moment.)
Well wonder no more because thanks to laughingsquid.com, we know that chicken and rabbit-raising Dan and Amelia Jacobs in collaboration with Brooklyn-based artist Scott Brundage have solved one of the great questions of the ages.
And the answer is A Brain is For Eating, published by Pale Dot Voyage, is not only instructive for young flesh-craving zombies but highly entertaining too.
It’s another delightfully twisted take on the zombie genre – my favourite since the more adult but just as hilarious Zombies Hate Stuff by Greg Stones – and proves yet again that there’s plenty of life left yet in tales of the undead!
(Boom! Tish! Thank you … I will be here all week, as will the zombies. RUN!)
You can buy epub and Kindle Fire versions of the book now or pre-order the hardcover version of the book which publishes September 2013 via the A Brain is For Eating site or Amazon.
Here’s the original Kickstarter video for the book, a highly entertaining, imaginative undertaking all of its own …
