Paddington Bear is, in many ways, my happy place.
He represents the warm escape of reading his books when I was a child and the nostalgic joy of watching, first the TV shows and then the modern movie, Paddington and Paddington 2, both of which were so perfectly rendered that they felt like the books sprung to life in glorious real world 3D.
If ever there was a character whose persona and the cosy world he inhabits feels like a warm hug, it’s Paddington and I love that we will be able to start 2025 with another instalment in the current movie series, and that it takes us to places far beyond the usual surrounds of London (thought that is, of course, it’s own wondrous delight as presented by Paddington author, Michael Bond.
So, if life is feeling a little challenging or burdensome, then happy relief is on the way in the form of one beloved young bear who has a way of making everything better … even in darkest Peru!
Paddington in Peru premieres on 8 November in UK, 1 January in Australia and on 17 January in U.S.
