SNAPSHOT
Storks deliver babies…or at least they used to. Now they deliver packages for global internet giant Cornerstore.com. Junior, the company’s top delivery stork, is about to be promoted when he accidentally activates the Baby Making Machine, producing an adorable and wholly unauthorized baby girl. Desperate to deliver this bundle of trouble before the boss gets wise, Junior and his friend Tulip, the only human on Stork Mountain, race to make their first-ever baby drop – in a wild and revealing journey that could make more than one family whole and restore the storks’ true mission in the world. (synopsis via Coming Soon)

The grand parade of highly-imaginative, clever animated feature films in 2016 continues with Storks promising some delightful animation, tongue-in-cheek humour and maybe, just maybe, some social commentary to boot.

Taking its cue from the increasing changes in the retail landscape, where big retailing giants like Amazon are transforming what we buy and how we buy it, Storks goes back to some basic humanity – what is it that truly matters and what makes us happy?

In Storks‘ case it’s the completion of a much-longed for family (the Gardners) and a chance to reclaim what makes you essentially you (Junior and Tulip), both all too human (and stork) issues that often get overlooked when people talk about brand new worlds and changing horizons.

This film looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun and also maybe just a little bit thoughtful too …

Storks opens in Australia on 22 September and in USA on 23 September.

POSTER ME THIS …

A slew of wonderful character posters have been released for Storks, whetting our appetite still further for the film.
