SNAPSHOT
Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.Hawkeye sees Jeremy Renner returning as Clint Barton alongside Hailee Steinfeld (Bumblebee) as Kate Bishop, Florence Pugh (Black Widow) as Yelena Belova, Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring) as Eleanor Bishop, Fra Fee (Les Miserables) as Kazi, Tony Dalton (Better Call Saul) as Jack Duquesne, Zahn McClarnon (Fargo) as William Lopez and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. It’s beginning to look a lot like … well, you know.
Unfortunately for good old Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), his Christmas might look the part and come loaded with all kinds of happy and positive expectations but that is pretty much where it begins and ends in Hawkeye, which debuts on Disney Plus just in time for the holidays.
Looking at the newly-realised official trailer, it looks very much like the lights are sparkling, the bonhomie is in place but the bad guys and gals don’t care, forcing Hawkeye and Kate Bishop to save Christmas, and you presume the world before “Joy to the World” starts to look and sound a little pointless.
An episode a week will be released which means the holiday season is starting to look a whole lot more action packed than any of us might’ve expected!
Hawkeye premieres on Disney Plus on 24 November.
