Join us as we all get Movin’ Right Along into 2021 with a song in our hearts, a banjo on our knee, and a bear behind the wheel. Happy New Year!!! ….from The Muppets. (synopsis via Laughing Squid)

If ever there was a year that sapped, almost completely, our will to keep going, it was 2020 … and let’s be honest, 2021 isn’t looking like much of an improvement so far.

But is that going stop Kermit the Frog and Fozzie the Bear from “Movin’ Right Along”? No, no it is not.

Originally released as part of the classic 1979 film, The Muppet Movie, the song, by Kenny Ascher and Paul Williams, is warm, beautiful helping of tenacity in the face of all kinds of obstacles and a spirit restoring slice of happiness.

So, it makes perfect sense that it would be released in Zoom-like form at the start of 2021 as the best New Year’s present ever, as a way of encouraging everyone everywhere to put one foot in front of the other and keep on going with friends and family all around you.

It’s the only way to travel …

And here for your comparison viewing pleasure is the original version …
