For some people, pulling back the curtains and seeing the wizardry behind something we love like the Muppets is a bridge too far.
Fair enough – they want to keep the magic fully intact.
But for people like me, going behind the scenes, as we do wth this video where the late, great much-missed Jim Henson, is part of the magic and its wondrous to see all the talent of the various puppeteers all working their characters at the same time to glorious effect.
Sadly, The Jim Henson Hour only had nine of its 12 episodes screened, cancelled early because of low ratings, but as this video shows, plenty of magic took place even in those episodes and its wondrous to see what went into making this beautiful piece of Muppet history.
