Ah, COVID, you nasty teasing piece of work.

Just when we think you have left us alone and we can go back to some kind of normality, you roar back, with a new, far more infectious variant no less and we find ourselves, here in Sydney (and also Melbourne and Brisbane), in lockdown, only able to see films if they pop up on a streaming platform.

So far, Disney has given us a chance to Black Widow and Jungle Cruise via their Premier Access service but so far, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is still being positioned as a cinema-only release.

Which is a problem when the current lockdown looks very much like extending well into September and beyond.

We can only hope that the Disney powers that be decide to go the streaming option once again because Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings looks absolutely awesome.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings opens on 2 September in Australia and 13 September in USA.
