Bedtime Stories with Ryan is a “restful show” from an “anxious mind” and features music from Sleeping at Last. “We’re so happy to create a program with the express goal of putting people to sleep. This show has actually been a dream of mine for a while,” said Ryan Reynolds in a statement. ‘Story time is a nighttime staple in our home and is a daily reminder of the power of storytelling.” The streaming series is produced by Maximum Effort and Fubo in partnership with ArtClass and Loon Productions, with music by Sleeping At Last. No details are available yet on who is writing and directing the series. Nor have they announced or confirmed with classic bedtime stories will be read by Ryan Reynolds. Maximum Effort is a film production company and digital marketing agency founded by Ryan Reynolds and George Dewey. The company name is a reference to a catchphrase from Reynolds’ film Deadpool and subsequent film series. (courtesy First Showing)

I am way past the age when anyone would happily read me bedtime stories, and to be fair, I am way happier reading them myself, but honestly I am completely here for lying back in my bed and listening as Ryan Reynolds, who can do no wrong, reads a book to me.

I love the idea too behind his upcoming streaming series, Bedtime Stories with Ryan, which aims to help people get restful and peaceful enough that they drift off happily into the Land of Nod on a bed of words and stories.

What a wonderful way to go to sleep, and yes, while I appreciate the intended demo is considerably younger than me, it’ll be tempting to take in an episode or all of them (who am I kidding? Of course I will!), and see if maybe sleep comes a little easier with Ryan’s voice sending me soothingly to sleep. (Assuming, of course, Fubo TV reaches Australia sometime soon.)

Bedtime Stories with Ryan will begin streaming on Fubo TV from 20 June.
