This charming animated short film dates from 2018 and came up when I searched for animated Christmas short films for this post.
I was going to add in with a number of others, but there’s something charming, whimsical and heartfelt about this beautiful little piece such that it deserves it’s time in the festive sun, even seven years after it was originally released.
It is full to the heart-tugging brim with messages about determination, enthusiasm, found family, community and friendship and the joy of finding getting to be who you are.
And at Christmastime, is there any better message than that to warm the heart as chestnuts roast on an open fire and you get ready for a jingly sleigh ride? (Or here in Australia, you put the prawns on the barbeque for Christmas and get ready to jump in the pool and cool off.)
So Merry Christmas one and all and remember, it’s the perfect of the year for you to shine as you were meant to, preferably with those you love around you …
