I absolutely adore this animated short film.

Discovered by disappearing one of Vimeo’s beautifully curated rabbit holes, El Terror, by Franco, with music by Léa Sanacore and voices by Lou Victor and Vanessa Bouchard, is inspired visually adroit storytelling.

It’s as gloriously, sparklingly over the top as only the very best Looney Tunes cartoons manage, it’s bright and colourful and oh lordy, does it make you laugh.

I watched it for the first time at work during a typically super stressful day and just 1.5 minutes of its rich, comedic brilliance made me feel considerably better almost immediately.

So, sit back, hit play and delight in what happens when one hungry cowboy lost in the desert severely underestimates one girl’s attachment to her very pretty, and no doubt tasty, ice cream.
