One of the most unsettling things that can happen to anyone is to find out that what you believed is true, most certainly isn’t.

All that belief, all that faith, all that certainty – GONE.

And replaced, unnervingly, by doubt, uncertainty and a debilitating sense that you can’t believe anyone or anything again.

Throw into hallucinations, mind games and a diminishing sense of what’s real and what’s not, and you’re sense of humanity takes quite a beating.

For four astronauts locked away on a simulated mission to test the effects of lengthy periods of space travel on the human mind, it becomes all too real a scenario, and what what promises to be, according to Gabriel Cowan from New Arts Alliance who along with XLRator Media who are backing the film, a deeply unsettling ride to remember:

“Matt [Osterman] has penned a mind-bending screenplay that reminds us why we make movies to begin with. Its complete sense of awe, mystery, and character grabbed us right away. And the crazy reality is that NASA and the European Space Agency are conducting these types of psychological experiments in preparation for the manned mission to Mars right now.” (source: Deadline)

So 400 Days is very much of the moment and an excursion to the very limits of human endurance.

Strap yourself in – we’re in for a freakishly crazy ride to the “stars”.

400 Days opens later this year.
