Wasn’t that released a year ago? Deadpool has some fun reacting to the Free Guy trailer

In Free Guy, a bank teller who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game, decides to become the hero of his own story … one he rewrites himself. Now in a world where there are no limits, he is determined to be the guy who saves his world his way … before it is too late.

Joining Ryan Reynolds are Emmy winner Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Lil Rel Howery (Get Out), Joe Keery (Stranger Things), Utkarsh Ambudkar (Blindspotting‘s ), and Oscar-winning filmmaker Taika Waititi (Thor: Love and Thunder), who is reuniting with Reynolds after previously starring together in the infamous DC film Green Lantern in 2011. Is Ryan Reynolds the best movie star ever?

Quite possibly, yes and it’s not simply because this blogger finds himself ridiculously cute and winningly mischievous.

He is also genuinely funny and gifted with the ability to promote something so seamlessly and cleverly that you do not mind at all that you are being advertised to, which comes in handy when you, FINALLY (thanks COVID) have a new film coming out named Free Guy and want to remind people that after a great many delays, it’s finally coming to a cinema near them. (Unless you’re in Sydney with its seemingly endless lockdown in which case who the hell knows when you’ll see it?)

What makes this reaction video so much fun, and it is most fun you’ve had today or ever, is that Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds who, what lucky coincidence, is also the star of Free Guy, is joined by Korg (played by Taika Waititi) for an hilariously irreverent conversation about the trailer which ranges across some very interesting ground as Coming Soon reports.

“The video, which you can check out below, features the popular anti-hero as he invites Taika Waititi’s Korg to react to the Free Guy trailer. In addition, Deadpool also got the chance to ask Korg about some tips about getting into the MCU. This promo teaser actually marks the first time that the Merc with a Mouth has officially interacted with a MCU character since the Disney-Fox acquisition.”

Promo do not get much better than this – colour this your new happy place.

Free Guy releases (at last!) on 12 August in Australia and on 13 August in USA.
