What if everything you believed as a kid was real? From the imagination of John Krasinski, enter a world you have to believe to see. From writer and director John Krasinski, IF is about a girl who discovers that she can see everyone’s imaginary friends — and what she does with that superpower — as she embarks on a magical adventure to reconnect forgotten IFs with their kids. IF, also known as Imaginary Friends, is both written and directed by acclaimed American actor / filmmaker John Krasinski, director of the films Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, The Hollars, A Quiet Place, and A Quiet Place Part II previously, plus a few episodes of The Office. It’s produced by Andrew Form, John Krasinski, Ryan Reynolds, and Allyson Seeger. (courtesy First Showing)

While there are a good many films that, when I first see the trailer, I think “I’d like to see this”, then are vanishingly that make me excited for the day they finally release into a cinema.

IF is one of those rare and elusive films, with such a fun and heartwarmingly wonderful premise, and if the trailer is any guide, brilliantly sweet and comedically rich execution, and honestly there is a part of me that is almost wishing the next month away to see it.

Not only is Ryan Reynolds a force being and in it, but there’s also a lavish host of stars lending their voices to a ton of the IFs or Imaginary Friends, which will make cameo voice-spotting a lot of fun as you watch it.

Featured in this blog are a selection of posters from the film but COMICBOOK has more, many more, making you realise just how many amazing people are making this must-see film come alive.

My inner child is VERY excited!

IF releases in Australia on 16 May and in U.S. on 17 May.
