Though he thinks his dreams are behind him, he yearns to return to his true passion, art… then they meet Brandon (Micah Giovanni) and together, the three of them save each other, and also work on realizing their dreams … The Comic Shop is directed by American indie filmmaker Jonathan L. If you’ve ever been to a comic book shop, you’ll know that they are a world unto themselves.

A wonderfully quirky world full of people who love comic books (obviously), who enjoy stories that are gloriously OTT much of the time but which resonate with some pretty impactful humanity, and which provide a lovely sense of inclusive community.

But wonderful thought they are, what if, wonders upcoming movie The Comic Shop, you own one and you want more from life? What if owning the store was “Plan B” and what you really wanted to do, want to do still, is create the comics that go into the store?

What do you do then?

It looks like The Comic Shop is going to have some fun exploring that and how in pursuing our dreams, we might just save ourselves, too.

The Comic Shop goes direct-to-VOD on 11 April in U.S.
