Ice Age: Boiling Point is an upcoming American animated adventure comedy film directed by John C. Donkin. It is the sixth main installment in the Ice Age film series following Collision Course (2016), and the seventh Ice Age feature film overall. The Ice Age films are such a happy place.
Full to the brim with warmly dysfunctional found family, wacky characters, snappy oneliners and some fabulous verbal hijinks, the films are silly, escapist joy from start to finish.
When the creating production house, Blue Sky Studios, shut down in 2021, I was fearful there’d be no more adventures with our favourite ice bound friends, but they have been reborn somehow and while we don’t have a full trailer at the moment, the just-released teaser one is a delight.
My inner child is already dancing with happiness …
