So no doubt there is one thought that keeps you up at night, as it does me – can zombies swim?
In the world of The Walking Dead, it was never really an issue since, bar the odd lake all the action took place well and truly on nice dry terra firma; but in Fear the Walking Dead, where a lot of people have taken to the open ocean to escape the undead on the land, it’s a real issue.
Can zombies, albeit robbed of dexterity and decent mobility – although it has to be said that the newly-dead certainly can put on a turn of speed – take to the water and get their freestyle on?
Or does the real threat lie in all the surviving humans who, seeing a great big luxury yacht with all the apocalypse-surviving mod-cons you could want, want to reach out and grab it?
Whatever the real threat, and as always it’s likely the living that pose a greater threat than the dead, the cast of Fear the Walking Dead, have a huge amount of fun working out if zombies breaststroke, wade or simply float to the top in a buoyant gaseous heap?
Either way, as series two of Fear the Walking Dead opens, the threat is very real, both from the living and the dead, and Abigail the luxury yacht or not, survival is in no way guaranteed.
Fear the Walking Dead premieres 10 April in USA and 11 April in Australia and UK.
And here is how they filmed series 2, the first time any The Walking Dead show has gone to sea …
