It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas …

And yes, we know for non-Christmas obsessed mortals, it feels impossibly early but for those of us who live, breathe and eat tinsel and carols, it’s never really early enough.

One of the first Christmas trailers to emerge from what will become a very crowded pack the closer we get to the end of the year is Red One, which, glory be and praise be to Santa, has an excitingly different and potentially funny premise.

Quite how funny and clever is something we won’t definitely know until November since comedy trailers are either all the good bits (bad) and or a sample of a ton of great bits (good) and you never really know until you’ve paid your money and are seated ready to watch the film dressed as a reindeer (what do you mean you don’t dress in Christmas gear to see festive films?)

But a boy can dream and hopefully come November when Christmas is most definitely in the air, we will be rolling in the aisles with “Ho! Ho! Ho!” tinged laughter and feeling greatly amused and wonderfully, quirkily Christmassy.

Red One opens in Australia on 14 November and U.S, on 15 November.
