The long wait – unless you ARE a Time Lord in which case you have already zipped forward, watched the entire season and posted reviews on all relevant sites (and possibly saved the world several times over) – for season 8 of Doctor Who is almost over!
In just 24 hours or so, we will get to see Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor gallivanting across Victorian London with companion Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman) in tow, simultaneously trying to get used to his new older form, and facing yet another threat to humanity … and dinosaurs … and dapper cyborgs in top hats.
He is aided and abetted, as is often and pleasingly the case when he returns to this point in time by Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh), Jenny Flint (Catrin Stewart), and Strax (Dan Starkey), in an adventure that Ellen E Jones of The Independent referred to as “a perfectly paced, hugely enjoyable 80 minutes of everything you want from Doctor Who – action, silly jokes and enthralling sci-fi.”
Could it get any more awesome than that?!
Why yes it could, thank you very much, if you chose, and YouTube user Slitheen99 most certainly has, to render the trailer for “Deep Breath” on all the blocky colours of the LEGO rainbow.
It’s brilliantly fun, faithful to the original trailer, and yet more proof that there is nothing that LEGO, and of course, the Doctor, cannot do.
