Claire Clauster (Michelle Pfeiffer) is the glue that holds her chaotic, lovable family together every holiday season. From perfectly frosted cookies to meticulously wrapped gifts, no one “decks the halls” quite like Claire. But this year, as her grown kids & distracted husband get swept up in their own seasonal drama, they make a crucial mistake: they forget their mom. By the time they realize she’s missing, Claire’s already set off on a festive adventure of her own – it’s one that doesn’t involve cooking, cleaning, or coordinating anyone else’s chaos. As her family scrambles to find her and salvage their Christmas, Claire rediscovers what the holidays mean when you’re finally free to put yourself first. Oh. What. Fun. is directed by the American filmmaker Michael Showalter, director of the films The Baxter, Hello My Name is Doris, The Big Sick, The Lovebirds, The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Spoiler Alert, and The Idea of You previously. The screenplay is written by Chandler Baker & Michael Showalter; from a story by Chandler Baker. Produced by Kate Churchill, Jordana Mollick, Jane Rosenthal, Michael Showalter, Berry Welsh. Can you promote Christmas too early?

I say “NO!” with reindeer bells on because I LOVE Christmas and frankly no time it too early to get festive anticipation hyped and ready.

Not everyone will agree with that BUT pretty much will concur with the idea, even if you ADORE the most wonderful time of the year, that sometimes it all gets a bit too much and that maybe, just maybe, you need to take a step back, dump the status quo and try something new.

Oh. What. Fun. releases 3 December 2025 on Prime Video.
