Demonstrating once again that they are hip to the viral groove, Sesame Street has taken up the Mannequin Challenge, which according to the good people at Wikipedia is “a viral Internet video trend where people remain frozen in action like mannequins while a video is recorded, usually with the song “Black Beatles” by Rae Sremmurd playing in the background.”

As with anything that Grover, Big Bird and Oscar and the amazing people behind them do, their take on the viral sensation du jour is fun, creative and takes you on an expansive trip down the length and breadth of Sesame Street frozen in action.

It doesn’t use the “Black Beatles” song for obvious reasons – it’s catchy but lyrically it’s not exactly appropriate for Sesame Street‘s core demographic – but it’s near-immaculately pulled-off with not a hint of movement.

Well until someone, and you’ll have to watch it to find out who, breaks the tableau pose … oops!
