While many of us will be intimately familiar with the events of the Skywalker Saga, where an intrepid band of rebels wrests back control of the galaxy from the evil empire, not as many (unless you are hardcore into Star Wars) will fully appreciate what led to the fall of the Republic and its ruinous devolvement into the Empire with all its authoritarian evil.

What looks appealing and intriguing about Star Wars: The Acolyte is that it takes us into some of events leading up to the fall of the what is called the High Republic (at the height of its power and influence, not just in the core worlds but the Outer Rim) – follow the full timeline – and gives us insight into how the all-powerful Jedi Order ends up being brought to its knees.

Set some 100 years before the events of The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: The Acolyte is all power and how those who perceive themselves to be without it will do anything to acquire it.

It’s looks gripping and thrilling and absolutely well worth diving into.

Star Wars: The Acolyte premieres the first two of eight episodes in total on 4 June.
