Healing a rift between friends is supposed to be one of life’s Very Good Things, right?

Right but what if the rapprochement happens – cue warm inner glow – and it turns out not to be a VGT after all?

Then, my friends, you have the anarchically hilarious fun of Platonic, described by First Showing as an “anti-rom-com” where all of the feels of friendship reignited suddenly becomes just a tad dysfunctional.

Not so for the reunited friends, and definitely, not good for those around him, but what was looks an abundant source of laughs for anyone who watches what could be one of the funniest shows of the year if the trailer delivers on its promise.

Platonic starts streaming its 10-episode first season on AppleTV+ on 24 May.
