Think monsters have it easy? Even Godzilla has a Bad Day

It would be easy to assume that a creature as big and fearsome as Godzilla could never have a bad day.

Sure every time he dares to step on shore he’s shot at, attacked, harassed and electrocuted but surely after all this time – he first appeared in Ishirō Honda’s 1954 film Godzilla so he’s been around a while – that’d be par for the course.

It’d be like a crazy dead end monster job where every day is the same and you know that all those crushed buildings and people stomped underfoot will only ever get you a whole world of military-inspired hurt.

But what if, you ask yourself, if you ended up with Stan lee stuck in your teeth dangling from a wishing line? Wouldn’t that just tip things right over the edge?

It would indeed as this instalment of Cinefix’s Bad Days, makes gloriously and humourously clear, and you would be well justified, as Godzilla is, in calling the whole thing off and trying again tomorrow.
