In the seemingly endless blizzard of shows coming out our way, it can be challenging at times to pick the really good things.

Or at the very least, the ones worth our increasingly precious streaming time.

One show that has emerged as a clear winner, potentially at least is Loki, a Disney Plus release which takes everyone to the Time Variance Authority where surprise, surprise, Loki is expected to help do something good for the universe.

Of course, it means correcting something he’s already broken but of course it does.

For a deadly serious show, there’s all kinds of mischief and mayhem, thanks to characters like Miss Minutes, Loki (played by Tom Hiddleston to perfection) himself and a general sense that while the mission is a grave one, the execution may not be.

Loki launches on 9 June with one episode released each week.
