Cooking is in. Probably because eating, which has never really gone out of style because #starvation, remains very firmly in.
And since cooking is in, in this digital age, that means cooking tutorials are in.
But what if the likes of Wes Anderson or Quentin Tarantino joined the lifestyle throng and made up some cooking how-tos in their own, utterly inimical, signature style?
Why they’d look like these videos from David Ma aka The Food Freestylist, who produced them “to bring some charm, irreverence, and silliness into the world of familiar overhead recipe videos.”
If these videos happened for real,and let’s face it, all these directors eat so why not, then frankly cooking, which I have always seen as a means to an end, would become crazy, over-the-top fun.
Somehow I think you’d end up wearing more than you eat but then that’s why there’s leftovers from all the non-dramatic cooking endeavours …
