Listen to the sound of beauty: A whole world of #Eurovision2022 news!

Just 92 days to the big event itself and as you’d expect, lots and lots and LOTS of news …

Before we dive into all the news that is fit to “print”, let’s kick off with the The Eurovision Awards 2021 which pay tribute to everything good about last year’s event in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, including Iceland’s presenter who was the one and only person you could chosen, especially if you’ve seen the heartfelt wonder that is Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga

Now onto this year’s exciting event which will take place in Turin, Italy on 10-14 May, all thanks to the victory of the host country’s 2021 act Måneskin with “Zitti e buoni”. In this video we pay witness to the Allocation Draw which determines which countries will participate in the first or second semi-finals (Tuesday the 10th and Thursday 12th May respectively) which takes place after Rotterdam officially hands over stewardship of the event to 2022’s host city …

There’s also a lot of official contestants being named, with the following countries releasing artist names and songs as we race towards May …

… and finally for now … The host country has selected “Brividi” by Mahmood (who represented Italy in 2019) & Blanco, winners of this year’s Festival di Sanremo which gives the winner the chance to represent Italy at Eurovision. As you’ll see it, it’s no out-there rocker but beautiful in its own way …

Australia will select its contestant on 26 February on the Gold Coast (southern Queensland) at Australia Decides 2022 and apart from picking Erica Padilla, a wildcard entry from among many talented TikTok personalities, to compete, we have also have two songs on offer from “Dreamer” by Voyager”, which is catchy as hell and very Eurovision worthy and “LITTLE FIRES” by Jaguar Jonze, which is searing heart-on the sleeve stuff …

Last, but by no means least since we see a lot of them, we have hosts for Eurovision 2022! Say hello to Laura Pausini, Alessandro Cattelan and Mika …
