It’s true – the dust has barely settled on Never Have I Ever season 3 (which was excellent by the way) and yet we have talk already of season 4.
Why so soon, you might wonder? (Not that any of us are complaining about Never I Have Ever goodness coming our way 24/7!)
Well, good old Netflix has just staged its annual big reveal event tudum – the name comes, so says engadget, is “named after the sound that plays alongside the Netflix logo whenever you start watching something on the service” – and among the many shows and movies that got a big unveil or a fascinating sneak peek, we were given a quick, fun look at season 4.
And while we mean QUICK, the truth is a lot of fun things emerged in the short video featuring three of the established actors – Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Jaren Lewison and Darren Barnet who play Devi Vishwakumar, Ben Gross and Paxton Hall-Yoshida respectively – and a newbie, Michael Cimino who appears all set to play a smouldering bad boy, all of whom, according to We Got This Covered gave away some tantalising half-realised tidbits.
While Lewison teased that his character Ben becomes a bit of a stud over the summer, Barnet revealed that even though his character Paxton graduated from high school at the end of season three, that won’t stop him from appearing in season four. Ramakrishnan, meanwhile, made it clear that Devi “has her work cut out for her” in season four, especially with a brand new heartthrob heading to Sherman Oaks high. Who is this heartthrob? Love, Victor‘s Michael Cimino, who might turn Devi’s ongoing love triangle into more of a rectangle.
We do have to wait until 2023 to see the fourth and final season but in the meantime, we have three perfectly-formed, funny and heartfelt seasons to relive, all of which are currently streaming on Netflix.
