The 12 Days of Christmas – A Tale of Avian Misery

This is the smartest, funniest deconstruction of the song “The 12 Days of Christmas” that I have ever seen.

Narrated by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who possesses a voice so mellifluous and wry with inflection that she must be mandated by law, to narrate everything, and I mean everything, the short film imagines what it would actually be like to be the recipient of all of partridges in peartrees, swans, French hens, gees a-laying, lords a-leaping and so on.

It would be, in effect, quite mad.

Stark, raving, relationship-sundering, bird poop everywhere mad and the team at Anomaly who produced the run with this inspired giving you a re-telling of the well-known song that will make you look a whole lot harder at those Tinder profiles before agreeing to any kind of date … and the eventual giving presents that may seem romantic but are really a whole other of avian misery.

Merry Christmas! Oh and is that a delivery man with maids a-milking I see walking up your front path?
