I adore postmodern fairytale stories.

They have all the tropes and clichés in place but oh the seditiously mischievous fun they have with them!

The End, created and directed by Alexandria Siah, has a wonderfully irreverent Shrek vibe going on with a sensibility and feel all its own and honestly, when you’re not laughing out loud often and long, you will be nodding in empathy at what this princess has to do to keep her handsome, if gallantly stupid, prince alive and kicking.

It’s an absolute giggle-heavy hoot and if you’re in need of a mood lift, then is absolutely the animated short film for you, especially if your beloved is hellbent on slaying dragons before your wedding …
