Jurassic Park is such a sweet, sweet movie.
We see all those wonderful dinosaurs in their natural settings, admittedly 65 million years plus out of time but still, discovering the world and living in perfect harmony.
Sigh …
Wait, no, I may be thinking of the wrong movie. What I am probably thinking of is Mashable Watercooler’s hilarious parody of the Jurassic Park trailer which plays around the footage so we end up with a heartwarming nature documentary and not the cautionary tale of overly-ambitious science gone wrong.
As EW notes, Mashable’s parody gives us a whole other view of Jurassic Park:
“… a new video swings the pendulum back to the idyllic side. Created by Mashable, the faux trailer reimagines Jurassic Park as a nature documentary titled Raptors, about a hatchling dinosaur named Littletail.
“‘Meet Littletail,’ the narrator says. ‘Be there for her birth. Watch as she takes her first steps. And follow her journey as she discovers the world.'”
Thanks to this re-imagined view of the iconic ’90s blockbuster, “life will find a way” is less of a tremor-inducing threat than an Attenborough-esque assurance than nature is a bold and beautiful thing and will always find a way through.
Watch it and gaze in wonder and fear not …
